A classic replica of a traditional Newari Sanjhyā (सँझ्या:)—specifically a Swakha Jhyā (a three-bayed or triple window) from the Kathmandu valley.
It features three distinct lattice openings separated by intricately carved vertical wooden pillars. The middle bay is flanked symmetrically by two outer bays.
Each bay features fine geometric mesh/latticework. Historically placed on the upper floors of traditional Newar residences, the design of Sanjhyā allowed cool air and light to flow through while preserving complete privacy inside, allowing occupants to see out without passersby seeing in.
